Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding Videographer Northern Ireland Cinematic NI Video Filmmaker Belfast County Antrim County Down
  • My wedding videography style is minimalist, discreet, and story-driven. I focus on capturing the day candidly as it naturally unfolds — the real moments, the raw emotion, the atmosphere. Rather than directing or staging, I observe quietly and film with intention, allowing you to be fully present, and celebrate with your guests

The result is an immersive, cinematic film that tells your story as a couple — with your wedding day as the perfect backdrop.

  • I’m based in Belfast, but I’ll travel anywhere your story takes me — from local venues across Northern Ireland to destination weddings further afield. Travel within Northern Ireland is always included, and if you're planning something a little further away, just let me know — I’m always up for an adventure with a camera in hand. One of the joys of doing this is getting to experience so many beautiful venues and locations.

  • Yes, a deposit of £250 via bank transfer is required to secure the date with the remaining balance due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day

  • There's no need to sign anything manually — instead, once you're ready to book, I’ll provide a simple document outlining the booking terms and conditions. By paying the deposit, you’re agreeing to those terms.

It’s all designed to be clear, straightforward, and stress-free — just like the rest of your experience with me.

  • Getting to know each other is a big part of how I’m able to tell your story authentically. If you’d like to meet in person over a cuppa, that’s absolutely fine — but at the very least, I recommend a phone or video call before booking. Personality matters, and it’s important that you feel I’m the right person to spend many hours with on one of the most important days of your life.

I also like to arrange a final video call 3-4 weeks before the big day to go over all the plans, run through timings, and get to know you both a little more before the cameras roll.

  • I will typically arrive at the morning preperation location approx. 3 hours prior to the ceremony start time, depending on location.

  • I don’t have a strict cut-off time — I usually stay until I’ve captured everything I need to tell your story properly. Most often, that means I’ll film up to the first hour of dancing. And yes, I might even bust a few moves with you!

Of course, I’ll always factor in safe travel home, but I won’t leave until I feel I have what I need to create the best possible film for you. If you’re planning sparklers, fireworks, or something special later in the night - I’m there in a heartbeat.

  • A full day of filming can easily run over 12 hours, so a meal to keep me fuelled and focused is always appreciated. I don’t expect the same meal as your guests — a simple bar meal is absolutely fine.

Most venues are well used to this and will usually have a vendor meal option available. Just mention it to your coordinator or catering team, and they’ll keep you right

  • Unfortunately not — and it’s all down to copyright law. I can’t use popular chart music for commercial films (as much as we all love an Ed Sheeran moment — I’d rather avoid a letter from his lawyers!).

That said, one of the reasons you’re booking me is for my ability to choose music that fits your story — music that reflects your personalities, the atmosphere, and the emotion of your day. I carefully select licensed tracks that elevate your film and make it feel truly cinematic, without ever distracting from the moments that matter most.

  • I aim to deliver your finished films approximately 12–20 weeks after your wedding. During peak season, it may take a little longer depending on my filming schedule — but I’ll always keep you updated along the way.

Editing is a deeply creative and time-intensive process. I don’t rush it, because telling your story properly takes time. Every film is crafted with care, attention, and intention — and I want you to love it for years to come.

  • You’ll receive a private link to your own personalised online gallery, where you can download your films to keep forever. You’ll also have 10 years of access to stream them directly, cast to your TV, and — most importantly — share with family and friends.

Think of it as your own private Netflix. Gone are the days of passing around a DVD or USB stick — this is a modern, seamless way to relive your day anytime, anywhere.

  • I’m very proud of the films I create, so your finished wedding films are stored safely and backed up for the long term — I plan to keep them indefinitely. That way, if you ever misplace your files, you can always come back to me for a replacement copy.

As for the raw camera footage (the unedited clips from the day), I keep this for 2 years after your wedding. After that point, it will be deleted to free up space. If you think you might want extras like a longer feature film or a documentary edit in the future, it’s best to let me know within that time.
